FOR CONTRACTOR TEAMS

Check Every Photo Your Subcontractors Send

Subcontractors take photos with the free Timemark app and send them as usual. You check each photo before you approve the work.

PHOTO APPROVAL

Photos alone are not proof of work

Check photos before approving work or payment. A photo by itself does not show when or where it was taken.

Photos arrive in many places

Subcontractors may send photos by email, chat apps, or your own project system. Files can arrive in different formats and from changing crews.

The photo details are unclear

You cannot tell from a photo alone if it is old, from another site, or edited after it was taken.

Manual checks take hours

Opening files, comparing details, and checking photos before approving payment takes time when you manage many subcontractors.

HOW IT WORKS

Verify subcontractor photos in five steps

Your subcontractors keep using their usual delivery method. You check the photos before you approve the work.

The Timemark photo verification page with an upload box for up to 6 photos, below three job site photos with Photo Codes
01

Take photos with Timemark

Subcontractors use the free Timemark app. Photo Code is on by default, and they do not need to join your Teamspace or take a paid seat.

02

Send photos as usual

They send job photos through email, chat apps, or your own project system, the same way they do today.

03

Check a few photos online

Use the free verification page to upload a photo or type its Photo Code. You can check up to 6 photos at a time.

04

Request API access for large volumes

Timemark will support photo verification through an API inside your own system. Access is by request.

05

Read the verification result

Each result is Authentic, Fake, or Unable to Verify. A photo needs a clearly visible Photo Code to be verified.

Know what an Authentic result shows

Photo verification checks the photo against the original record stored when it was taken.

What an Authentic result shows

  • The photo was taken with Timemark at the recorded time and place.
  • The time and address shown on the photo match the original record.
  • No picture edits were found compared with features in the original record.

What verification cannot show

  • Whether the scene itself was real, such as whether a photo was staged.
  • Whether a photo is authentic when its Photo Code was turned off, cropped out, or covered.
  • Whether a court, insurer, or agency will accept the photo.

FOR CONNECTED CREWS

Use Teamspace when subcontractors can join

With "Timemark capture only", every photo must be taken in the Timemark app, so there is nothing left to verify. The Field Quality Control page explains how.

Photos go to the right project

Members take photos in the Timemark app, and photos upload to Teamspace automatically, organized by project.

Set access for each subcontractor

Set project access to Selected Members and member access to Own only, so each subcontractor sees only their own projects and photos.
